The Big Payoff
Well it seems that many of the projects I began late last year are really starting to pay off. Often a new site takes a long time to start building momentum.
You may be asking yourself what my point is right about now… and it boils down to this: You may work on your sites for months on end with very little to no payoff. When I first got started trying to make money I made the mistake of calculating my “hourly pay” based on how much time I was spending and I found out I was only making minimum wage. Things have obviously changed since then, but if I had become discouraged I very well could have given up before the money started flowing in. I saw someone say something in a forum once that sums this up perfectly, and it went something like this: “At first I wasn’t making any money, and then after a while it was a few cents a day and I was asking myself why I was wasting my time with this.. Then those pennies turned into dollars, which turned into hundreds of dollars and became thousands of dollars per month.”
So, Mr Hopeful Webmaster, don’t throw in the towel before the fight has really begun.
