Have Patience, Jedi Webmaster
New webmasters can be easily frustrated by how slow search engines are. If you add a lot of content to your site or do a redesign, it could take weeks or even months for search engine spiders to find and index all the new content. A major overhaul to one of my sites over a month ago still isn’t showing up in Google at all. Unfortunately all that new content (multiplied the existing number of pages on the site by about 500) missed the recent Google update. This shouldn’t really matter, but it is hard to say if it actually does. My site could’ve ended up with better PageRank had it been indexed. Googlebot has been busy the past couple of weeks spidering all of those new pages, so I imagine it will show up in the index soon, and hopefully the traffic will come with it.
As of this moment, this site hasn’t been visited by the GoogleBot for over a month. That is unfortunate and I can only guess as to the reason for this. Hopefully it will go away eventually. I am being patient and continuing to write these articles anyway.
Things like this are why I have so many sites. I’d go bankrupt or pull all my hair out and give up otherwise.
Don’t get frustrated. You have to play their game, but if you keep working and be patient, you will win.
