World Wide Brands OneSource Review - Drop Ship & Wholesale Directory

I’ve had an account at World Wide Brands for a while now.  I can’t believe I haven’t written about it already.

To make a long story short, this onesource review will cover what WWB’s One Source program can do for you.  If you’re reading this review chances are you already know what it is and just want to know if it is worth the investment.

Right off the bat a huge plus of World Wide Brands’ drop ship directory is that your account doesn’t expire.  You could use it to start up 20 online businesses if you wanted to.

Drop Ship Directory Review

What does it do?
The java based one source tool lets you search their enormous wholesaler directory for keywords or products.  If you wanted to sell Baby Cribs you just type it in and (optionally) choose a category to better narrow your search.  It will then present you with a list that tells you how many of the various types of suppliers are available with the product you want.

As you can see in my resized and cropped screenshot here there are 12 drop shippers available that say they have baby cribs.

If you’re already familiar with the terms in the above image please skip this paragraph.  Drop Ship means that the company will shop products directly to your customers for you.  That means you don’t need any inventory or a warehouse (or garage full of boxes like many of us).  Light Bulk means that they will sell you small quantities directly (rather than by the case or whatever the minimum order size is for the larger volume wholesalers).  The OneSource results will also show you liquidations and auctions if they are available, which is a great way to acquire a deeply discounted one-time supply of products.

We want to drop ship our baby cribs directly to customers so we click on the “12″ and get the screen below.

This shows us a more detailed description of exactly what the product is.  This information alone will save you countless hours.  Imagine for a moment that you wanted to sell heart-shaped cribs.  Without the information from World Wide Brands you’d have to find all the baby product suppliers you could. Then you’d filter down that list to ones that did drop shipping.  Then you’d find out that they won’t give you any information about exactly what products they provide or the pricing unless you have a wholesale account with them.  Setting up such an account can take a while and you usually have to fax around a few forms.  Imagine doing this with 10 companies only to find out none of them have heart shaped cribs.

While we’re on the heart shaped cribs subject we click on that.  It will then show a list of suppliers for that product (in this case it is only 1).  If you click on that 1 supplier you will get a detailed page about that wholesaler.

Unfortunately their terms of service don’t allow me to disclose the details of the wholesalers listed in their directory, so i have covered the information so you can still see how it looks.  They give you almost everything you need to know right on this screen, at which point you are usually one click away from signing up for their wholesaler or drop ship program.

The usefulness of the OneSource product doesn’t end here.  It will also try to give you an estimate of how difficult selling a particular product online will be.

This screen shows keywords related to your search and what kind of search volume they get.  Heart cribs may be somewehre further down the list.  The competition, advertising, and Auction tabs also show information which will help you decide if selling that product online is a good idea.  Your goal should be to find the perfect balance between too much competition and no demand.  What I find most useful about it is that it will help you decide what kind of business or products you will be successfull selling.

I haven’t regretted my purchasing onesource for even a moment. It is priceless when brainstorming new business ideas and has saved me countless amounts of time and money.

Even if you’re not ready to get started just yet I highly recommend checking out the World Wide Brands Web Site because it has a ton of valuable information, free ebooks about selling products online, videos, etc.

They’ve put together a great video showing you how the process works which does a much better job than I ever could of explaining it.

Anyway I hope you’ve found this worldwide brands review helpful and I wish you all success in your future ventures.
