Why Paid Online Surveys are a Scam

ATTENTION: PAID SURVEYS ARE A SCAM

Ok I’m not really sure how this online survey stuff got so big. Everywhere you look online now it seems that you see ads for the latest online survey program that promises huge rewards.. Well I’m here to let you in on a few secrets.

  1. First off, everyone has an opinion. If you think yours is that much more valuable than anybody elses you are probably mistaken. Companies have no reason to pay huge amounts of money for people to take surveys because there’s always somebody out there with an opinion that is just as valuable that’ll do it for less money.
  2. The rewards promised are always a lot higher than what you actually get. If you sit down and do the math after everything is said and done, I’m sure you’ll find that the amount of money or products you received for taking the surveys was far less than you would’ve earned with even a minimum wage job.
  3. They don’t help you build passive income. If you stop taking surveys today you’ll never get any more money. This means all the time you spent doing it was as much of a waste of time as working a day job with crappy pay (except maybe you could do it sitting on your computer in your underwear, which most employers frown upon for some reason).
  4. The only people making money with online surveys are the people selling you the lists and false hope that you can make any kind of living doing it!

So please, PLEASE save yourself the time and money and start trying to make money online the right way, PASSIVELY. I don’t need to take surveys in my sleep to make money while I’m snoozing. You shouldn’t either.

Making Money on MySpace

You’d be a fool to ignore social networks. They have so many visitors that they can make you huge sums of money if you can figure out how to channel that traffic. Well I’m not here to give away the farm for free, but I did manage to figure out a way to make a ton of money on MySpace.. so it can be done. There are a few basic principles.

1) Make an account and get a lot of friends. Send these friends bulletins which are ads cleverly disguised as something they want to look at. The great thing is that myspace has groups which can be used to target specific audiences. Adding friends can be automated with AdderRobot. You can supposedly request up to 500 per day without getting banned, but I haven’t tried testing that limit.

2) Another way is to post some kind of ad in people’s friends comments. This isn’t likely to succeed as you’ll make people angry and get banned most likely. You don’t want people complaining to your ISP or the company you’re promoting affiliate links for… but if you do it right it will work. Most people are dumb enough to leave HTML enabled for comments. An even larger number don’t require posts to be approved before showing up on their profile… so if you have multiple accounts… (you can see where this is going).

3) Have ads on your own profile. This of course works best when you get lots of visitors (combine with the lots of friends thing from #1). Just by submitting lots of friends requests you can get people to come look at your profile and some of them will click things on your profile if it interests them.

There is more to it which I can’t reveal in public… Maybe if you give me lots of money and get me drunk I’ll let you in on the secret. :)

Making Money Online - Yes that means YOU!

I’m fed up with people that come to me saying “I really want to make money online” but then NEVER DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT. If you aren’t going to get your ass in gear and actually try got start something, or at least learn what it takes to make money online, stop wasting people’s time whining about it! These kinds of people are what motivated me to write my book. I hope they listen and actually start to do something with themselves rather than sitting around wishing or complaining.

Put your money where your mouth is and start an online business. Though it should go something like “put your time where your mouth is” since time is more valuable an asset than money is believe it or not. Some younger people have lots of extra time, so they’re in a great position to benefit the most from this. The same thing goes for stay at home moms. The rest of the people that still have day jobs have to run web sites and try to make money in the precious spare time they have left after coming home from their regular job.

With a little bit of effort however you will find that the time you spend working on your internet business pays a lot more per hour than your normal job. At that point why bother keeping a job that is just sucking away your will to live? Instead invest that time in yourself and your web sites, build up your portfolio, and next thing you know you’ll be in the Wealthy Webmaster club too. :)
